Scope of These Terms
These terms apply to all sales made via the online store www.whataboutsaddles.com. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, which comply with the applicable laws of Portugal and the European Union, including consumer protection and data privacy regulations.

We sell:
- Used Saddles
- Used Equestrian Accessories
- New Equestrian products
All product listings include accurate descriptions and detailed information on condition and visible wear, especially for used items.
Prices & Payment
Prices are shown in Euros (€), inclusive of VAT where applicable.
Shipping charges are displayed separately at checkout.
All items must be paid for in full before dispatch.

Bank Transfer
Cheques and cash-on-delivery are not accepted.
Shipping & Delivery
- Orders are shipped within 1–2 business days after payment is confirmed.
- All items are shipped with tracking and insurance.
- Once shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information.
- All items are photographed and documented before dispatch for condition verification.
Day Paid Trial (Optional)
We offer an optional 5-day trial period for used saddles, designed to give you peace of mind before making a final decision. During this period, you may test the saddle under real riding conditions with your horse.
Terms:
The 5-day trial must be selected and paid for at checkout.
Cost: €40 per saddle. This covers inspection, cleaning, and restocking. The fee is non-refundable, even if the saddle is returned.
The trial starts on the day of delivery (Day 0) and ends at 5 PM on Day 5.
You must notify us in writing (email or return form) before the trial ends if you wish to return the saddle.
Saddles must be returned within 10 calendar days of the delivery date.
Late return fee: €5 per day.
Saddles must be returned in the same condition as received. All security tags and labels must remain attached. If missing or removed, we reserve the right to refuse the return or deduct from your refund.
Excessive wear, visible damage, or misuse during the trial may result in a partial refund or rejection.
Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.
Note:
The 5-day trial option is only available for customers in EU countries. This service is not offered for non-EU deliveries.
Right of Withdrawal (14 Days)
In accordance with EU law, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods.
- You must notify us of your decision in writing via email or the contact form within the 14-day window.
- You must return the item within 14 days of cancellation notice.
- The cost of return shipping is borne by the customer.
- Refunds are issued within 14 days of receiving the returned item.
- We reserve the right to deduct compensation for any reduction in value caused by unnecessary or careless use of the item.
Return Conditions
For Used Items:
- Must be returned in the exact condition in which they were received.
- All security tags, labels, and markings must remain attached.
- Each item is photographed and documented before dispatch.
- Any item returned with damage, excessive wear, removed tags, or altered condition may be partially refunded or refused.
For New Items:
- Must be unused, in original packaging, with all labels, tags, and seals intact.
- Items showing signs of use or missing original labels will not be refunded.
Unclaimed Parcels
Unclaimed packages returned to us will incur:
- €15 processing fee, plus
- Original shipping cost, both deducted from the refund.
Product Warranty & Complaints
- Used saddles and accessories are sold as-is with no guarantees regarding fit or durability.
- New products may include manufacturer warranties.
- All complaints must be submitted to info@whataboutsaddles.com within a reasonable time after receipt.
Data Protection (GDPR)
We collect and process personal data (name, address, email, order details) only:
- To process orders
- For legal compliance
- For optional marketing (with consent)
Data is stored securely. You may access, correct, or delete your data at any time by contacting us.
We do not share your data with unrelated third parties.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
All transactions are governed by the laws of Portugal and EU regulations.
In case of disputes, the competent court will be located in Portugal.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, courier delays, or government actions.
