A loan agreement is established between What About Saddles (Rua da Escola Social no 111, 2765-482, Portugal) and the customer (“Borrower”) when borrowing a used saddle for a home trial. This service is offered to allow the customer to try the saddle before making a purchase decision.

Please note: The loan service is available exclusively within Portugal.

Loan Conditions

- The loan period is 5 calendar days, starting from the day of delivery.

- A deposit equal to the full sales price of the saddle is required before shipping.

- A non-refundable loan fee of €50 per saddle is charged.

- A maximum of 3 saddles can be borrowed at a time.

Saddle Condition and Responsibility

- All saddles are photographed and documented before dispatch.

- The borrower is responsible for checking the saddle upon receipt and reporting any damage within 24 hours.

- During the trial period, the borrower is fully responsible for the saddle and must treat it with care.

- Saddles must be kept clean, dry, stored with a cover, and not used in rain or muddy conditions.

- Modifications or adjustments, such as changing the gullet or stitching, are strictly prohibited.

Returns and Late Fees

- If the saddle will not be purchased, the borrower must notify us before the end of the 5-day trial period via email.

- Saddles must be returned within 10 calendar days of delivery.

- Returned saddles must be in the same condition as when received. Any damage or signs of misuse will result in deductions from the deposit.

- A late return fee of €5 per day applies for saddles returned after the deadline.

- If the saddle is not returned within 12 calendar days, the full deposit will be retained, and the saddle will be considered sold.

Handling Tips for Loan Saddles

- Always store the saddle in a secure, dry place.

- Remove stirrups and accessories after each use.

- Use the provided saddle cover when not riding.

- Clean gently with a cloth; do not oil or polish.

- Use stirrup leathers that match the saddle color and are made of soft leather.

- If returning by courier, use the same box and seal it securely.
